NAACP Image Award Nominee
ALMA Award Nominee

MARISA RAMIREZ plays "Dr. Chloe Artis" on the primetime series MENTAL premiering on FOX this June.

Daytime audiences will recognize her role as PR whiz Carmen Mestra on America's #1 daytime drama THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS. Prior to Y & R, Marisa starred as "Evelyn Santos," an ex-cop, who investigates alleged miracles on the short-lived but critically hailed ABC primetime drama MIRACLES opposite SKEET ULRICH (SCREAM).

Before MIRACLES, millions knew her as the spirited supermodel "Gia Campbell" on the ABC daytime drama GENERAL HOSPITAL. In 2001, she was nominated for a NAACP Image Award® and ALMA Award® as "Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series."

Marisa began her career at thirteen when her Polaroid® snapshot found its way into a top Los Angeles modeling agency. Soon, she was traveling the globe as an international fashion model. Returning home to California, Marisa was encouraged to pursue acting. She quickly landed work in several high-profile music videos including leads in WILL SMITH's "Wild, Wild West," LENNY KRAVITZ' "American Woman," BACKSTREET BOYS' "As Long As You Love Me" and JORDAN KNIGHT's "Give It To You." Marisa's unique beauty and sparkling on-camera presence captured the attention of producers at MTV who immediately tapped her to co-host SENSELESS ACTS OF VIDEO. Other television credits include ROSWELL, USA, HIGH, BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL and DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Most recently, Marisa has guest starred on numerous television series including CSI: MIAMI, WITHOUT A TRACE and SHARK.
