Shanica starred in Disney Channels original TV movie, "Jump In" where she starred as playing the role of "Shauna Keaton," the athletic, problem solving, fashionable, happy go lucky teenager. Other television credits for Shanica include guest starring roles on Nickelodeon's, "Unfabulous" as well as Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" where she played the mean girl "Amber Addison."

Shanica is also no stranger to the music industry. Practically performing on stage her whole life, Shanica began her career in country music and easily transitioned to Alternative Rock. She has performed on "America's Most Talented Kids," "It's Showtime at the Apollo" and "Ed McMahon's Next Big Star Show" in Las Vegas. Shanica was also selected as the first place winner of the "Maybe You've Got It" Maybelline and Teen People Magazine's singing talent contest.

When asked about her motivation, Shanica quickly describes that her motivation has always been her faith! "Through Christ all things are possible," she says. While not acting, Shanica enjoys singing, song writing, playing the piano, dancing and spending time with her family and friends. Shanica is originally from Iowa but now resides in Los Angeles, CA with her family.
