Rico Rodriguez was born in College Station, Texas, and from birth through his young boyhood was surprisingly an extremely shy little boy. Little did he know how drastically his life would change.  In 2005, at the age of six, the native Texan, made the move to Los Angeles, California with his mom and sister to support his sister’s dream of becoming an actress.  After one year of watching his sister having fun and gaining success, Rico enrolled in acting classes and soon started making a name for himself.

Rico’s first role was in the video How the Grinch Stole Christmas.  Next, Rico played “Chanchito” in the comedy film Epic Movie and co-starred in DVD Opposite Day.  His television credits include the recurring role of “Young Guillermo” on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Cory in the House, ER, Til Death, iCarly, Nip/Tuck, Surviving Suburbia, My Name is Earl and NCIS.

Since the premiere of the Emmy Award winning series Modern Family, Rico has garnered widespread recognition for his work in the role of “precocious, old soul” “Manny Delgado.”  Rico was presented the Impact Award from the National Hispanic Media Coalition, as well as nominations as "Male Break-Out Star/Television” for the 2010 Teen Choice Awards and "Outstanding Supporting Actor/Television" by the Imagen Awards. Rico was grateful to learn that he was chosen as one of Entertainment Weekly’s “2010 Entertainers of the Year” and received his own cover wearing his tux with cane and pocket watch.

Rico has also made guest appearances on such shows as  E with Ryan Seacrest, KISS FM On-Air with Ryan Seacrest,  Radio Disney, The View, Rachael Ray, Ellen, The Bonnie Hunt Show, Access Hollywood: Live, The George Lopez Show and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.   His natural charm led to him being asked to serve as a Red Carpet Correspondent for ABC.com's coverage of the 2010 Academy Awards. Rico has also reported the E! Entertainment's “Orange Carpet” 2010 Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards and for the star-studded Nickelodeon Mega-Music Fest.  Rico was honored to present at the “2010 American Music Awards,” “ Tony Hawk/Cartoon Network’s HOG Award Show” and is looking forward to presenting at the “2011 Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards.”

No matter how busy Rico’s schedule is, he finds the time to support numerous charities that help raise money and awareness for children living in poverty and children with special needs.

Rico is grateful to be living his dream and has a very bright future ahead of him.
